The Geriatric Psychiatry locum opportunity in Louisiana

Location: Southwest Louisiana (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: June – Ongoing (until perm is hired)
Schedule: 2-4 weeks per month
Shift: Monday – Friday 8a-5p
Call: Yes, (night and weekend) > (phone consults – likely to not have to go in)
Patient volume: 14-16 patients per day 
Scope: Geri Psych (ages 55+), full spectrum Geri Psych
>Dementia, depression, psychosis/bi-polar, 20-50% substance abuse.  Hospitalists round in Psych unit for medical conditions
>Geri Psych do admissions (1-5) per day
>length of stay varies (based on treatment) 10-14 days (national avg)
EMR: EPIC
Hospital: Level 3 trauma, 31 bed Psych unit
Group/support: solo provider + ancillary RN hospital staff
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified in Geri-Psych with LA or Compact license
